Even if her skin was lightened in this picture, why would it be whitewashing? You know there are 1 first of all, people with tans 2 other non white races that have light skin tones including some Africans 3 variable tones for black people right? Like you know black people can get tans?(not saying she’s black, just pointing this out)

Whitewashing - by drawing a character with his/her normal skin color. Right. And what would BBC's version of Achilles, Margaret of Anjou and Anne Boleyn be called, i wonder?
That's weird, because I always try to do it close to the original. That's why, before I start drawing, I print an official illustration so I can use as a reference. And specially when I'm painting, I use a tool that pick the exactly same color of the official art (at least for the base color of skin, eyes and hair; can differ according to weather and luminosity). It's funny you saying that because is impossible for the color don't match that way LOL
