I dunno why the title decides to name "Towano Top Gun", AKA daughter of the real-life Mayano Top Gun. Also granddaughter to El Condor Pasa, for that matter.

Edit: Maya's doing one of the more famous poses of her real-life counterpart's jockey here. Originally it was done while standing on top of the racehorse Mayano.

And speaking about the jockey, he's also a manga writer. The mangas were almost entirely about horse-racing, except for the final one which was a legal drama. He also had a career as a racehorse trainer after retiring from jockeying, but sadly that career was cut short after he got into legal trouble.
