Actually I'm pretty sure the context is postwar. The Danes we not very happy with the extensive minefields along their coastlines when the war ended, so had AROUND two thousand German POWs conscripted to clear them. Anti-tank or not, I'm fairly sure those are armed, and I would very much not like to have several of them explode within arms reach of me. The casualties rate sustained by German POWs throughout these clearing operation was nearly 50%.
