TBF it's higher filesize - very easy to assume it should be the parent image.

A size difference that small isn't enough to warrant uploading at all, though

Yeah based on the rules established (and I also just ran both links through the pixel-perf dupe test) they are too close to justify, so I messed up and immediately knew. It was posted after so it rightfully gets labeled as the dupe and not the parent.

Generally speaking, you should think in ratios.
If something has a 100% bigger filesize, it is usually safe to assume it's not a dupe. Be it from 100kb to 200kb or from 1MB to 2MB. The latter gap seems bigger, but it's the same percentage-wise.
