When an object moves at speed greater than the speed of light, you can only observe the point where it stops long enough to be able to reflect light, thus same object can appear to be on two places at exact same time. This effect is can also be observed when an artist want to make a character did multiple things in one panel without redrawing said character in same pose but with minimal changes in arms movement. Much of the example being applying makeup, tidying hair, etc.
