I realized something, the reason we don't really name/tag armored core mechs, is because their a amalgamation of parts from multiple manufacturers, and the name given to the mechs themselves, is done by the pilot. I know there are exceptions such as white_glint and nineball but those simply seem to be the most recognizable mechs in the series, and some of the few explicitly named mechs in series. Or I could be talking out of my ass, I've only played Armored Core 1, and even then I haven't played Master of the Arena or Phantasm.

I'd say that's pretty much it, its kinda the same issue with Front Mission and Daemon x Machina

Oh, right, consistently depicted that way in fanart, and even has a dedicated plamo kit. More than qualifies then, despite being a fanname.

Edit: Probably needs a qualifier though. Anfang is potentially ambiguous.
