Error: the sword's drawn design symmetry is, well, not symmetrical. The blade was drawn at 60-70 degrees away from the viewer, as evidenced by the tilt of the crossguard. However, the side 'protrusions', as well as the drawn glowing lines doesn't match the supposed location by foreshortening: the part that's supposed to be nearer to the viewer should be longer and the part away should be shorter, while in this case it's reversed.
