And it's thoroughly annoying when people lazily rely on the "tagme" tag when, even if the artist is unbeknownst to them, there are ample definitive aspects about the picture in question for it be tagged by anyone with half of a brain [read: them] accordingly. They do this knowing their image will be tagged one way or another.
However, if the whole "upload now, tag shortly after" thing really is your chosen method, I sincerely apologize for being crabby about it to you.

For me, tags are the only way I see 99% of the pics. I don't check the POSTS section at all, and I only check 1-3 pages of comments once a day or two. So if the only thing tagged is "tagme" then I likely won't see the image. So of course I wish people would at least give it basic tags. It's not like it's hard work or takes much time.
That is exactly my sentiment. Inadequately tagging an image often dooms it to burial and while some images deserve such a fate, many don't. Which is why I tag with great/seemingly unnecessary detail; it keeps everyone happy.
