Yeah, I'm assuming she's the daughter of the sister from the previous pic.
I wish "as if we were blood related family" is not there because the hint from anything else is already on the nose enough there is almost no room for imagination.
It brings up the question of why they told her she was an abandoned child instead of the truth that she is the daughter of one of the nuns. It doesn't seem like this Church is very strict when it comes to sexuality, and according to her, her mother is still a nun, so they're also apparently lenient with nuns becoming pregnant and giving birth, in this case an illegitimate birth by a likely unknown father.

Well...
Convents were historically also used as a... "dumping ground" for female members of the family that the family didn't want. So, 'unruly' (by their standards) noblewomen, 'dishonored' (again, by their standards) noblewomen, noblewomen-who-committed-crimes-but-the-optics-would-be-bad-if-they're-imprisoned-or-executed, and so on. This is often accompanied with a 'sizable' donation to the convent (hence usually only noblewomen get this 'treatment', or 'rich' middle-class merchant daughters). Of course, there are the regular 'pious' folk as well.
So, if someone had sex out of wedlock, and it caused a scandal, the family might have sent her to a nunnery (no, not the Shakespearean one. At least, hopefully not). If she got pregnant over this and then gave birth at the convent later... well, it's going to be covered up like this, really, using "abandoned child" as the excuse.
This is often glossed over in fiction, with nuns all treated as pious god botherers, and the few exceptions (usually these are the Nuns Who Kick Ass in the Name of the Lord) are just... exceptions, without additional backstory given. Though I think some of the "reincarnated as a villainess" will allude to this (kicked off into a convent) as a potential fate that the protag must avoid, but most of those stories tend to go for the execution route instead.
With all that said, for Ryuun's case... I suspect this whole "nun business" is just cover for some glorified prostitution ring. So, nothing to do with real-life nuns at all.

I just presumed that in Ryuun's fantasy world, Nuns, and the Church and Religion it represents, are much laxer and more lenient with their viewd on sexuality compared to real life Christianity, where followers, and especially Catholic Nuns, were held to a somewhat high standard of chastity, at least until marriage, though it depends on the sect.
So nuns are allowed to engage in sex as much as they want as long as they adhere to their religious code and help the downtrodden and common folk, which can also include providing them sexual relief. They can also engage in prostitution to procure donations. Typical hentai nun stuff.
I suppose I should also clarify that I am aware Ryuun's nun is from a fantasy world, not real life, amd and therefore she isn't a Catholic Christian Nun, who are known for their vows of chastity and celibacy.
I've seen the other art Ryuun has drawn, including the one that shows off portraits of various fantasy styled adventurer characters, including the Nun, so like I said, I already knew she was from a fantasy world, and therefore her church and religion would likely follow different codes of conduct and doctrines.
It's just that when you see a Nun, your first instinct is to use real life Nuns as a point of reference and comparison, and assume they follow similar codes unless shown or stated otherwise, hence why I pointed out how this Church allows its Nuns to engage in sex and prostitution, and even allows its members to become pregnant and give birth to potentially out-of-wedlock children, while still allowing said Nuns to continue being Nuns despite all that. Which, as stated, is not how real life Nuns are *supposed* to operate, typically. So I found it weird that they would tell this girl, who is heavily implied to be the previous Nun's daughter, that she was abandoned and has no relatives, rather than tell her the truth that the Nun who cared for her is her actual blood-related mother.

Well if one applies the "prostitution ring"/"brothel" analogy then the reason(s) also becomes clear... though elucidating it becomes many flavors of disturbing.

I kinda just interpret Ryuun's fantasy world as being a bit more "light hearted." Yeah there's lots of sex and the church is highly sexual and engages in prostitution, but it's nothing too dark or serious.
I'm also sorry to say that these implied, theoretical reasons you're proposing are coming up partly blank on my end, and I'd appreciate an plain explanation, but I understand if you'd prefer to not think about it if you find the possibilities too disturbing to elaborate on.
I wish I could be like her, both as a sister and as a human being.I was an abandoned child with no relatives. It was the church that took care of me ...It is an honor to be able to serve you in the same place as her!I'm still a beginner, but I've just become a Sister.Yes! The previous sister is someone I admire♪Like an older sister... no, a mother, she is the one who raised me until now, as if we were really blood related family!Everyone, I'm looking forward to working with you all.♡
