I also love how the poor henchman is just... there. He acts sorta like the "moral center" of the group. When these girls are alone they don't hesitate to kill, but anytime he's around they seem to be more willing to be merciful. He might end up being the pseudo-dad of the group.
Still, kinda makes me wonder just how many of these "apparitions" are wandering around, considering what split-mouth said earlier.

I am guessing as much as there are Japanese Urban Legends to be used. So there may be a cyborg version of Mary the Doll, Toilet Girl Hanako, 8-feet woman, etc.
