49 The Blue Whirlwind
A determined-looking Drizzile emerged from the light. Shocked by this sudden evolution, the poachers stood rooted to the spot.
That moment of hesitation was all Raggedy needed.
Bam! A blow to the big poacher’s knee knocked him down, and a punch to the jaw knocked him out!
Keeping that momentum going, Raggedy used his tail to launch himself at the thin poacher, laying him out with a spinning jump kick!
All the while, he’d been building up a high-pressure water balloon, which he shot right into the Galvantula’s face!
It took barely three seconds for this blue whirlwind to defeat the bad guys. Grookey and the other Sobble were so surprised to see their brother evolve into such a skilled fighter, they almost forgot about how much pain they were in. Raggedy even set up more water balloon attacks, ready to strike back if the poachers tried anything funny. They weren’t taking Snowy anywhere!
Was there ever a Drizzile this strong? This clever?
And this was Raggedy – Raggedy, whose physical handicap meant he struggled with everyday life more than his siblings. But those same siblings always stuck by him, always encouraged him, and now he could finally pay them back. It was like a spring had been slowly wound up inside him all this time, and now all that tension, all that power, was being unleashed.
