My work is inspired by the efforts done by the characters in frame to better the lives of the people in Liyue over the course of their long lives, as well as their vigilant watch over not only the people themselves, but the wishes they carry. Ganyu, Qiqi, and Xiao are sitting along a rooftop so as to not disturb the people and their celebrations but also to get a better view of the lanterns that are currently rising to the air. The basis of this piece is about the wishes drifting along the nightfall and the people responsible of making sure those wishes are safely met on a day to day basis. This piece took 35 hours (roughly about 6 days), give or take, given that a great deal of effort was spent making sure each of the characters were as accurate as possible from their expertly crafted in-game models as well as making sure their surroundings capture the magical sight of The Lantern Event in Liyue.
