父パーソロンはリーディングサイアーに2度なった名種牡馬。母スイートルナはシンボリ牧場が生産した名馬スピードシンボリの産駒。スイートルナは初仔としてパーソロンとの間にシンボリフレンドを産んだ。
額に三日月に似た形がついているという特徴を持ち、誕生から立ち上がるまでにかかる時間がわずか20分だったという。牧場にいるころは「ルナ」と呼ばれていた。

His father, Partholon, was a two-time leading sire, and his mother, Sweet Luna, was sired by the famous horse Speed Symboli on Symboli Farm. Sweet Luna's first foal with Partholon was Symboli Friend.

When he was born, he had a distinctive crescent shaped mark on his forehead, and he only took 20 minutes after birth to stand up. He was called "Luna" on the farm.
