The ship was Tan Yang for far longer than she was Yukikaze, and was never returned to Japan after her transfer to the ROC. Having her final form in-game be Yukikaze K2 never really sat well with me.

Sorry, I must have not been clear. It'd be unbelievable to think of Iowa as a shy, Admiral-loving gamer girl when we saw her in this series 5 years ago. No gaming. No Gangut. Hell, no even the Idomiral we know and love today (dude was only starting to get his characterization during the Ark book). Just a boisterous Iowa who does American things in a Japanese base.

When Ido added Tan Yang four months ago in post #4202220, it triggered a shitstorm among the Chinese followers of his comics (because of the whole "Taiwan and China are one" business), to the point that he deleted the tweet with that page and apologized for the mess, so he probably decided to change her form to her Kai-2 model to avoid another shitshow, especially now that she's back in the base.
