I guess that AI has figured a way to cheat the limits of structural integrity versus mass, then. The only reason this world haven't developed battle-ready giant robots are because the limitations of material strength (shear modulus) doesn't improve with mass, and stay constant (with changes due to temperature). If you built something too big it's gonna collapse on it's own weight, not to mention the additional strain that comes from moving.
