Chibi ~ 【Golden Fist】Super Saiyan 3 Goku
I started this months ago because I really wanted a chibi version of cards to exist for my phone wallpaper and wasn’t able to finish it until recently. Process was a bit strange – a bunch of distorting and semi-tracing for his body/shenron and his face had to redrawn entirely. Colours were eye dropped in for accuracy but shading was re-done from scratch eyeballing it. The background line art is a mix of traces and redraws where needed, and because I was kinda running out of stream at the end the background colour is mostly distorted and then painted over to make it cleaner. Then the shines from scratch at the end.
Art is my dayjob and I would never normally trace so this felt sooo taboo at the start, but I thought heck it, it’s okay to have fun sometimes. I hope someone else was interested in this sort of thing like I was and can enjoy using it! I definitely want to do more now; I might post a poll on twitter after I’ve narrowed down some choices to pick the next one to do.
