A CN player told me that she is literally a superior version of Xiangling...
I mean, you don't even use them for the same thing. Xaingling is an off field pyro support to enable melt and vaporize reactions. And she's actually the best unit for that, even more so at c6. And she's extremely good at 2 target cleave. Hu Tao is a main DPS unit who's very good at front loaded burst with very good vape synergy.
That said, I find this image pretty dumb. Because 2p glad and Skyward spine are bad on Hu Tao.
I never liked using poor tao when i got her from the beginners banner ways back, shes like amber of liyue with her annoying to use red panda...

Dang, it's actually kind of funny seeing how super ignorant people are outside of the theory crafting discords. Xaingling is the best pyro support in game. And her ulti is one of the highest total AoE damage abilities in the game.
As support DPS, that spear is actually good on Xiangling. If you use her as main DPS, cuz No Tao, you may consider using that Crescent Spike. It does suck that Homa Staff is with Wolf's Gravestone and not alone. Because even if you do win the 50/50, there is still a strong chance you get Wolf's Gravestone instead of Staff of Homeless. One can look at Tectone's ride of despair, 1k $, 12 5*, 7 Gravestones, 5 off-rates, 0 Homeless. The real winners are those who got the staff, because if they calculated their rolls and pity in the limited banner gacha, there is chances they get Hu Tao on guaranted.

When I (unexpectedly) got Hu Tao I equipped her with all the stuff I had on Xiangling to try her out, even if it had mostly wrong stats for her, and only recently properly built her, so this image actually speaks to me in some way... poor Xiangling got benched for a good while
