There's a tradition at Kyoto University to "vandalize" the platform base of a bust of a teacher there. Vandalize is in quotations because the bust used to be actually vandalized, and then the university removed the bust entirely but left the platform standing and a warning not to vandalize it. The tradition evolved to just placing other busts on there.
This year's choice was Sephiroth and Minato Aqua (Apparently the principal shares the surname Minato).
