Im lovin all the romantic uploads of the Hero and Martina recently. My favorite pairing with the best chemistry in my opinion.

Hmmm... How does one have chemistry with a plank slate?
The writing was not DQXI's strong point. That being said, there's plenty of ways to infer character from Eleven. The actions and decisions he makes, as well as the way others behave around him.
Case in point, I'll always remember the first impression he made on Martina...was stabbing her in the back while she was distracted. And that whenever Eleven didn't want to do something, the others would threaten him and he'd cave in. Like when Martina performed a high kick, stopping inches away from taking his head clean off.

Eleven is truly the greatest and most noble hero.
They have history is my point, which is more than I can say more most of the party. My hero never said no to helping other people, and hell Martina has more going on with him than Erik and a lot of the fandom likes to draw them but fucking all the time, when I saw them as being more like bro's than anything. I guess what im getting at is that I have an OTP just like im sure everyone else does.

Saying they had chemistry implies an assessment on your part. I don't understand how you can say they had any. Oh, there's a few *forced* scenes of them together, and Martina basically says flat out that she sees the hero as her little baby brother, because of the adulation she had for his mother. But that has *nothing* to do with Eleven and everything to do with Martina's feelings for his mother.
Then you go into the other problems between them; Martina has slavish devotion to him because he's the Luminary. This is a royal obligation on her part and near religious devotion besides. That has nothing to do with him as a person. She's 22 years old. He's 15. A substantial age gap in terms of physical, mental, and emotional maturity. Combine that with the fact that she sees him as a baby, and *nothing* is going to happen between them unless he can become a man in her mind.
In the end, DQXI's writing being what it is, Martina is nothing more than a fanservice character who had all of her story potential stripped away from her. They could have done something with her, but all she ended up being was the leggy sexy monk character. Faux action girl boys are supposed to drool over.

I don't want to argue with you on this Steak, for one its stupid, and I think your a pretty cool dude. Some of your comments really make me laugh, all of this is really open to interpretation depending on who you ask. You cant see it, I can, you don't like it, I do, cant we just agree to disagree? All I said is that I like the pairing.

One can have their opinions about the luminary's character (or lack thereof), but some of your points don't seem supported at all. Martina never treats him with slavish or near religious devotion, indeed she's openly critical of him at times and generally treats him as an equal. And while she does initially base her bond/obligation to the Luminary on her childhood regrets, she grows beyond that (as shown in her talk with her father where its clear she's made peace with her past and moved past her regrets). As for age, everything I've read says that the Luminary starts the game at 16, not 15. Add in the time travel shenanigans and if anything the age gap between him and Martina decreased by the post game (Jade notes he looks taller and has bigger hands after she first meets the Luminary after he had just traveled back in time perhaps a year or more). Jade's age doesn't seem to be officially known from what I've been able to find, other than that she's over 20.
I keep looking for these scenes of Jade treating him like a little brother, but I haven't really found any. There is the part where she tells him her past and how as a little girl she was so excited to meet her "little brother" in quotation marks, but that was more a desire she had in general growing up as an only child (she notes in a Party talk that she often wished for siblings in general, and treated Jasper and Hendrik that way too). Given she only knew the Luminary as a baby for like a day, their relationship in the game basically starts fresh once she is actually able to get to know him as a person.
I don't see how she's a faux action girl either. Sure she relies on guile at times when against a opponent with more strength and experience than her, but I always saw that as a sign of her intelligence and adaptability. Times she completely failed in battle were typically times everyone else in the party also failed, or after winning a marathon of other fights. Indeed I really fell for her primarily because she's such a passionate character and cool fighter rather than just another pretty face (the latter helps of course), plus a surprisingly good sense of humor. And just how supportive she is toward the Luminary, the way she dived off that cliff for him, their chemistry in their couple scene in the Definitive Edition, their history, etc. all made me a fan of the pairing myself.
