This is what I like to think people actually avoid Satori. Not really because she can read minds but she tends to over react to the thoughts she reads and puts people off. Her "damage control" reaction to this only makes it worse.

From the other person perspective the conversation has been:

“H...Hello.”

“Umm, nice weather... isn’t it?”

And her facial expression seens normal.
The other person has no way to know she is panicking internally.
