Immediately brings Armored Core For Answer to mind.
Referring to Arms Fort "Spirit of Motherwill" and I can definitely see the resemblance. Basically a giant bipedal aircraft carrier. The declawed battle fortress is also seen again in Verdict Day.
It was really cool introduction to what you were up against in that game. Riding on a jet rocket to drop an entire battle fortress solo while dodging fireballs the size of castles and literal hurricanes of missiles and machinegun fire just about caps the meter of cool factor for mecha video games. One of my favorites to remember.
