If YAGOO sues for an LN then he should be suing for every piece of Hololive fan animation ever made. Yet he doesn't. So don't worry about securing written permission.

I’m pretty sure even if its to be sold, if its in the category of Doujins/fan work it won’t be that big a deal, as with most manga and other fan products in Japan (I believe most “Mamas” and “Papas” for the Hololive members for example sell fan merch and stuff, although I’m not sure if they pay a cut to Cover if they sell it away from the official website or how much freedom they retain if they don’t have a direct contract with said company) Only the biggest and shittest companies tend to go after such things and it usually ends in really huge shitstorms and PR catastrophes that no normal Japanese companies tend to risk the effort except for the dumbest (Kodakawa for example at one point which caused them enough of shit that they retracted it) and the greediest (most game companies and Disney).
Also, Cover isn’t exactly a stranger to the idea of idiotic copyrights issues as they’re usually on the receiving ends so it wouldn’t make sense for them to do the same thing to others what usually happens to them, at least not without good reasons (like if said work is something actually dangerous where it could potentially harm their said company and employee. Not R18 but more like people trying to sell data and information about the girls and all that junk or if its disgusting slander/libel disguised as “fanwork” as there have been recently). Even if they do, getting involve with shit like this will be suicide for a company basically built upon the idea of streaming and fan participation. Not to mention fanwork is more or less free publicity and a bunch of their employees are also still actively in said doujin circles.
