Oh, stop that. If we don't acknowledge that they exist then we can't acknowledge their problems and nothing stops those same problems from happening again in later films and shows.

Acknowledging that these movies exist is asking too much of me. I never was one for the expanded universe, but I genuinely loved the movies, even the prequels. Shit, especially the prequels, I love them maybe more than the original.
Asking me to acknowledge these lame fanfic-tier movies is too much. Ask me something easier, if you please, like fighting a bear with just brass knuckles, or go to work on a bicycle instead of taking a car.

Then my point completely went over your head. Go ahead and hate them if you want there is no problem with that. But by refusing the acknowledge they even exist you are refusing the acknowledge the very real problems they had and thus nothing stops those problems from happening again. Star wars is a cash cow and Disney is going to try to keep milking it. This means that unless there is real vocal push back and criticism of the failures of the new movies then nothing will stop Disney from fucking up Star Wars again and in the same way again until they learn their lesson. Ignoring things doesn't make them go away it just means the fester and potentially become worse in the long run.
