This makes me wonder, how do the hillichurls have crossbows? thats pretty high tech for tribal stage. I never paid it any thought but meh.
In-game statements give you the idea that they got help, probably from the Abyss Order:
Given their limited mental capacity, learning to wield a bow is extremely difficult for them, let alone crafting such precise equipment. One could speculate that there's an organization working behind the scenes to provide equipment and training to these hilichurls seemingly scattered across the land...
