Is it really cannibalism if they're eating eggs which might not be from the same animals that they are? I mean, it's not like a hawk gets accused for cannibalism when it eats a sparrow...
Besides, they're both corvids (the family of birds that include crows, ravens, magpies, jackdaws, rooks, jays, etc.). Corvids are known for stealing and eating the eggs and nestlings of other birds.
Some bird species actually *hunt* others, for that matter. It's not cannibalism unless it's their own species. Which in this case is 'Tengu' and 'Hell Raven'. ....It *might* be debatable that Utsuho's absorption of the Yatagarasu counts..but when you're dealing with metaphysical forces like Gods and their servants....
Tewi's crusade against rabbit meat is mostly due to the youkai rabbits feelings of kinship with the regular ones more than any societal taboo. Same with Mystia's trying to get folks to eat eel instead of chicken. (Though that could have something to do with the fact that she's often treated as one...)
Touhou! Causing discussions of moral dilemmas since 1990-something!
