Danbooru has historically disregarded "Do not repost" requests. How many artists do you think we feature that have a line like that in their bio or in the commentary for the image? Or what about all the doujinshi we have on site, or the paid rewards we still have from before the decision to ban the upload of them?
Unless the artist personally requests to have the art removed, we keep it. A moderator wouldn't have approved it, otherwise. Almost nothing we have on site is here with permission, this is no different.
I'm still kind of confused about this rule. Do not reprint = do not repost? I mean we still put the original source of this image
Unless the artist is actively asking for their stuff to be removed, chances are it will get uploaded. I wouldn't worry about that particular rule all that much from what I've seen as its as loose as water. Just upload what you want, the mods are the wild cards on what stays or goes.
It's one thing if the artist puts "do not reprint" on their website, but in this case it's on the image itself.
I say we err on the side of caution and take this one down, lest the artist send Danbooru a nastygram to take down all of his arts.
It really doesn't make a difference whether the request is on the image itself, in the commentary, or elsewhere. A "do not repost" request is a "do not repost" request, you can't just say, "It's on the image this time, we have to listen to it now." If you're going to advocate for the removal of this one, then you need to flag every single image on the site from an artist that has made that request somewhere. Which is a hell of a lot of them. (Please do not actually do that)
If an artist is going to demand the removal of all of their art, they're going to do that whether we keep this particular image or not. Because everything we have of theirs is here without their permission. It just so happens that this one image specifically asks not to repost it.
If we start removing everything because artists might get upset about it, then we'll just have another paid reward situation on our hands. For the record, I was in support of the paid reward decision, and I still don't think we need to repeat it.

This is likely one of those cases, hence the watermark from the artist themselves. It's a matter of respect in this case, because while uploads here have helped them gain an audience they're appreciative of, bigfooting on their printed books that they rely on can make them sour on us real damn quick.

This image was taken directly from the artist's twitter? They uploaded it themselves. I'm not sure where you're getting the idea this wasn't "freely uploaded digitally" by them.
Also this was a skeb request, the artist should have already gotten paid for it.
In regards to what blindVigil said I just want to note that please do NOT flag images that (you think) the artist wants removed, tell them to contact evazion about it (or show them the disclaimer:japanese (page was removed)) and he will sort it out instead. This doesn't mean you should send it to every artist with a "do not repost" notice though, no one is gonna win from that. Thank you.
