Nagisa's parents run a bakery. The bread her mother bakes is generally questionable in quality, contents, or both. Thus it's a running gag for her to hear someone commenting on her bread, then run from the store wailing about how useless she is, only to then be chased after by her husband stuffing his mouth with the day's hell and yelling about how he loves them in an attempt to comfort her.
