I think the rifle being held is a Howa Type 89 and the MG on the MLRS is an M2 Browning. Both Helis seem to be UH-1s

Yes, but: The left is an UH 1 B, the right one an UH 1 H.

I assume they're basing it on the one on the left having the nose-mounted FM antennae, but these apparently weren't tied to a model designation and just sort of phased out somewhere around the D model to be replaced by an antenna stretched across the roof. Supposedly the only concrete identifier of a B model is the pitot tube being mounted on the side of the nose instead of on the roof "fin," but there isn't enough detail to see whether the blob there is meant to be the pitot mount or a greeble. The roof-mounted bits, changes in antennae, and differences in screens on the sides of the engines pin them as definitely being different models but don't pin down specific ones by my research; I expect it would take a real expert to put them all together to make that determination assuming the drawing has enough accurate details to make that viable in the first place. Luckily for us it makes no difference as we use an umbrella tag that represents all models anyway.

EDIT: It's worth noting that War Thunder models its UH-1B with the nose antennae and later models without; games are often "sources" for "facts" of that sort.

sanitaeter is correct - UH-1B and -H were only round-nosed (pre-UH-1J) models used by JGSDF

left has semicircular air intake and single large window in sliding door characteristic of UH-1B (and short fuselage Bell 204s in general); right has double sliding door windows + jump doors characteristic of UH-1H (and long fuselage Bell 205s in general)

left also carries 陸上自衛隊 titles on tailboom while right carries them on sliding door, consistent with JGSDF practice for UH-1B and UH-1H
