You do realise that thunder is the sound that lightning makes? And you don't get "a thunder" or "a lighting", just "thunder" and "lightning". You could say "a lightning bolt" or "a clap of thunder" or something though...

Yeah, lightning only generates about 2x the temperature of the surface of the sun. The interior of the sun is about 1500x as hot as the air through which a lightning bolt passes, though.

Wikipedia says lighting is 6 times as hot as the surface of the Sun.
