Iowa:*stuck in a waking dream, cannot move but can cry.* IJN Crewmate: "Oy! Someone forgot to shut this one's mind off, it's still cognizant." Other IJN Crewmate: "Eh, just leave it, Those decommissioned tools are slated for recycling anyway."
I seriously don't like the "IJN treats living, thinking people are disposable, replaceable tools" trope a lot of JPN dojinka do.

Well the IJN did that in IRL, they had a policy with morale which was "Beatings will stop when morale improves."
Looking at the request details, this is a scene of a boy entering an abandoned base on a courage test, and coming across shipgirls disposed of in the warehouse after the end of the Abyssal War. Only Iowa is still "alive," and she's shedding a tear upon looking at the boy who reminds her of the admiral and thus the fading memories of the base.

I'd argue that she's the only one still "awake." since the others have clearly been "shut off."

Damn, that’s dark. I wasn’t thinking I’d read something like that as a request.
Would they be here forever in a stasis, judging from Richie and Saratoga being turned into dolls at this point since the comment above says they’re basically dead?
Assuming the abandoned base has no staff at all present, they’d literally be there until something happens.

Ah I remember some crew from ships prefer their boat be scrapped after service like a mercy to preserve the dignity of the ship this is a dark view of the mothball fleet i guess and realistically Iowa was in an out of that a few times
Ya'll are worrying about the dead/depowered ships while I'm sitting here wondering what Protagonist-san here is gonna do with Iowa.
Seeing how the commission was about a kid doing a "Bravery test" probably not going to rape her, If anything he's going to see that she's "alive" and probably run screaming from the warehouse she's stored in. Ircc. I removed the Hypnosis and Mind control tags since that is clearly not the case in the image.
...well yeah, no shit. Why would you even think that? I was thinking more of a rescue.
If the boy was a real hero he'd probably ask what she's doing here and probably try to turn the power back on so they can be rescued from stasis. Iowa probably saw it all and knows how to reverse it all.
