the deletion reason on the previous 15 were basically only "did not like the post enough to approve it" and only a few had maximum 2 "believe it has poor quality" so of course I'm going to think they were deleted because the approvers just didn't like them
The deletion reasons are not always indicative of why the post was removed. The reason why they were deleted is because they are self_uploads. Self uploads are generally not accepted here, and as such, will be judged more harshly than regular uploads (see: howto:upload). As of posting, 105 out of 136 pages of self-uploads are deleted posts.
You'll just have to stick to Pixiv/dA/Twitter/etc for now. If your work is really good, and you get popular enough, someone else might upload them to Danbooru for you.
