Abyssal Kirishima? This is getting intense. As much as I want it, having South Dakota suddenly coming in would not make sense (assuming this happen before the event, just as the story is planned and written before it)
Proper counters to Black Kirishima? What countered Black Haruna? Battleship Kaga....Airdropped Kongo.

Also it depends on if this story and the fleet actions collecting Hornet and South Dakota are in parallel or not.
INB4 all of the present forces aren’t enough, or are just barely enough, to stop Kuro Kirishima. In which case I will call BS because Colorado by herself should be able to handle her, much less all of them.
Hopefully SoDak appears and challenges Kuro Kirishima to a duel.

In-game, Abyssals tend to have inflated stats compared to their counterparts. For Example; Abyssal Gambier Bay has Firepower on par with a battleship, armor surpassing a battleship, an air wing comparable to a fleet carrier, and torpedoes just to make you miserable.
Well, that weld together all the previous arcs of the story, even Colorado's Mansion, which looked like an independent spin-off (what with the foreigh shipgirls' dorm exploding), and Ido going seriously meta on us.
And holy shit I didn't noticed Black Kirishima's bleaching skin and growing horn: she's literally turning into an Abyssal! While we've already seen several Abyssal being purified into shipgirls in Ido's work, it's the first time that we're seeing the reverse: a shipgirl being corrupted into an Abyssal. (does Kirishima even have an Abyssal counterpart? Battleship Water Oni perhaps?)

There's one big problem for the shipgirls though: they don't have they gear on them, as we've already seen that even an heavyweight like Nagato can get curbstomped by the Abyssal when she's caught without gear.

Katori already revealed that the Vice-Admiral committed high treason, at this point his only hope is to kill everyone in the base to cover his treason. (or fleeing somewhere the authorities can't find him)

Colorado actually has her rigging on, and based on those floor plans Ido drew up, their equipment storage (where they probably keep their rigging) is only a dozen or so feet away.
I guess that confirms that Black Kirishima has the same SHipgirl-Abbyssal hybrid technology than the one used by fake Akashi. The plot thickens.
