They are supposed to sound like "number one" (ichiban) and "number three" (sanban), but I only got that after reading the Japanese part.

Probably no, but maybe "Burtree" for sanban and "Won" (like the RoK currency) for ichiban.

If ichiban was female, "Amber" could work.
