The A-6 and A-3 represent CVW-9 in 1970 as in post #3949474; the SH-3 (1974-1975) and U-2 (1969) do not, although all represent use abord CVA 66.
Really impressive for recognizing all aircraft present in the illustrations. I am the one who commissioned this for my cold war era ship personification project and provided reference for details including aircraft painting. The main referential source is gonavy.jp coupled with other sites like seaforces.org etc. The actual composition of her air wing is a combination of CVW-9(circa 1970-1971) and CVW-8(1974-1975), While the U-2R is there to imply the famous project whale tale, although no mishaps happened historical-wise, so the crash landing is for illustrative purposes purely. Once again I'm really glad folks here in danbooru are interested in her details as well, and I hope you like her design!
