With Dokkan Battle's 2019 April Fools event, this may have become even more hilarious in hindsight;

The gist is that they 'announced' that a brand new feature would be introduced, "Retro Mode", which would basically make the entire game look retro. Whilst, of course, this was a joke, they did reveal a brand new special story event titled "Clash! Dokkan Butoden" where you can get the two retro-inspired base Goku and Vegeta cards, their in-game sprites taken directly from Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors on Game Boy Color.

And wouldn't you know it, the end of the story event is quite literally this 4koma, sans them being Super Saiyan.
