I am still amazed that after all these years (2005 for the original series and 2013 for the remaster of Gundam Seed Destiny, 15 years and 7 years respectively), there are still fanarts made for these two in 2020 (like this one). On pixiv at least, it seems that the number of Athrun/Cagalli fanarts or works far far exceeds the Kira/Lacus ones. The relatively unclear ending for Athrun and Cagalli probably had helped too ...

I am very impressed towards the dedication of the fans of this pairing (I am one of them but not as dedicated). Hope is still alive and strong.
