I really don't see how this church could have problems making babies.

What even are AK's units? Hybrids? Humans with animal features? Mythological creatures?

I didn't make it far enough in the game for the deep lore (if it's even in there); in the sections I did complete, the various races are all portrayed as "natural" inhabitants of an apocalyptic Earth. Whether they're pre-existing "evolutions" of humanity or mutations caused by the catastrophies and Originium infection, I don't know.

The non-human races are collectively referred to as "Ancients", they are separate from and coexist with humans, with humans being in the minority. Ancients are at a higher risk of oripathy than regular humans are. There's so far only been one character that people think was human, but he could have just been one of the Ancient races that don't have physical indications of their race. It's unknown if Ancients came about through crossbreeding or natural evolution.

The planet is called Terra, it parallels Earth in many ways, but it's not clear if it's just Earth by a different name or an entirely different planet that happens to share similarities.

Just always presumed the doctor is human.

Being an oripathy doctor means that they would have been constantly near and handling originium, but you apparently haven't been infected despite the above and having gone into places with heavy contamination. Combine that with humans being resistant to oripathy and their rarity in the setting that puts them on pedestal, it wouldn't be off for devs to make the player even more "special"-air quotes- by putting you in this exclusive race.

No real actual evidence but the peg fits in the hole :v

Did they actually confirm Doctah isn't infected? It's been a while since I did the opening stuff but I don't recall anything ever specifically stating they aren't infected.

Not sure, but very little is confirmed about the Doctor. The biggest hints I know about anything regarding the Doctor of are in Operational Intelligence (was rather ruthless prior to amnesia) and in some of the medical Operator voice dialogue/ file info (Lancet notes there's something special about your blood, and Warfarin is utterly captivated by it to the point Khal'Tsit had to slap a restraining order on her).
