I guess this works kinda like Mieruko. The cursed world stays out of your view but when two people overlap, it's visible and then they get you.

Mieruko was rather about "individuals who can see the second layer" than the "world with second layer out of line-of-sight".

The solution then is to just both quickly face the same direction, isn't it?

AND keep each other out of sight.

My headcanon is that with more than one person in the cafeteria, the corruption gets too dense and tips over, so observing the room is no longer enough to clear it.
Not about overlapping fields of view; you can see the clean area diminishing already even though the two friends are facing the same way.

My favorite part of the whole series so far, but really need to stop reading it again and again. It's making it difficult to navigate the night.

Wonder how the Giant Otter squad would fare here. I guess the rat bottle might be able to give away the anomaly.
