Am I the only one that thinks this is kind of sad? I mean, it's fine to enjoy anime/manga, but at some point you've really got to take a step back and assess your life.

I will admit that I'm not one for figurines. They cost a fortune, rarely increase in value, can only be enjoyed by other otaku, don't add value to your life the way a book collection - or even a DVD collection - does, and generally just sit to collect dust over the years.

The money spent on those things could feed all of Africa for a week.

That many collectible figurines? I'd rather buy a gun and kill myself to death.

As opposed to movie posters or non-classical paintings? Who cares what other people collect (as long as it's legal) because we're all heading towards the same direction.

I'm not sure if it's actually "sad" considering the guy must have a sweet-ass job to pay for all that. And what seems to be a sorround-audio-system-thingy...

And they will starve again when they ran out of than money you thrown at them, making those money ultimately pointless.

Throwing money at them pointless without they ever go self-sustaining, Bill Gates have thrown much more money to Africa than this and it didn't fix much, it is more deeply rooted in political and cultural problems than money problem.
