    ジョグダイヤルの部分が基板から剥がれなくて破壊覚悟でやって破壊しました!
    外し方は理解したので次からは壊さずに修理できます。
    もう売ってないけど!

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 3299

The jog dial portion wouldn't peel away from the circuit board, so I resolved myself to breaking it, and break it I did! I figured out how to remove it, so from now on, I'll be able to repair it without breaking it. They don't sell it any more, though!

    Pre-trans guess:

Broke something important while trying to fix it, so buying a new one is now inevitable.

Reader-added tags include "Smoothly pulling a dad joke", "Computer mice are consumable goods", and "I sure can!" (Specifically, "Dekiraa!", a slightly mangled version of "Dekiru" originating in an issue of Super Oishinbo. It now memetically represents a response to a question that doubts the responder's ability to actually achieve whatever the question's about.)

Mouses are really hard to fix. I see myself as a dab hand at fixing stuff but mouses, never managed to not break one while trying to fix them.

After months of reading, I've finally managed to catch up! Thanks for all the translating up until now. It's been a great ride and I'm glad to finally be able to read these as they come out.

Any standout moments, or has it all blurred together?

    Indeed. Also grateful.

    Also, I'm a mouse-man myself...

Never liked mice since day one. Would very much prefer a large touchpad I can control with a stylus or active pen.

Alternatively, trackballs will do fine too.

They are very much unfixable by most standards. The only thing I do on mice is to flatten the ratchet on the scroll wheel so that it glides smoothly when scrolling. And if the sensor or switch starts to act up, it's time to toss it.

My mousewheel started slipping for actual scrolling just last night. The finger wheel was supposed to be fixed to a sensor wheel with a plastic hexagonal axle, but the axle had long since rounded and was no longer gripping. I tried to fix it by wedging paper in the gaps but, even after finding the appropriate amount of paper that "still fit," that just made it slipping worse. I finally resolved the slipping by using rubber cement; I dipped the axle into the cement, put the pieces back together, and let the extra goo filing the gap harden.

It sounds like it'd break my other mouse trying to swap-out the button collider, though, so I'll settle for this small victory.

The Boston arc still stands out as a high point to me, and I've especially enjoyed the karaoke marathons and Yamame.
