Reimu would have better luck with pristine Meiji stuff.
But still, rare/pristine coins from less than a century old MAY cost a fortune. For examplle - my 1 min search result of a Showa 50 w/o hole (prodution defect) and it's 6 digit cost

There actually is legit a lot of value in real defective currency. Government treasuries by design have super thorough quality control and destroy any that don’t match, so it’s very rare for a legitimate defective coin to make it into circulation, and if an appraiser can verify it, there are some very dedicated collectors that would pay a mint for it, no pun intended
