Meura Kairogi Species: Ocean Youkai Before Turning Youkai: A Carybdea Jellyfish Enchanted by the Full Moon Meura always loved gazing up at the moon in the night sky, and longed to see how it looked from land. This desire transformed her from a normal jellyfish into a youkai, allowing her to survive outside the water. In time, she also started to take an interest in humans, and adopted a more human-like form herself. Meura doesn't say much, and often comes across as a little spacey. Beneath this quiet demeanour, she's actually quite a cheerful, affectionate kind of girl. She makes up for her lack of words with very expressive body language, especially using her tentacles. Her body is surprisingly squishy to touch, but don't get too close - her tentacles contain a powerful neurotoxin!
