Kutara Kaidu Species: God A manifestation of one of Japan's many ocean deities, she resides in the waters around Yuumi-chou. Kutara is a being born from the faith of humanity, or to put it another way, the promises made between humans and the sea. One of her duties is to protect the town from the mysterious sea demons (kaima) that appear from time to time. Kutara is benevolent toward humans who respect the ocean, and helps them out in times of need. On the other hand, she has no patience for those who would take her domain for granted. "Hey, you! I know you can't see or hear me, but if you throw garbage in the ocean one more time, I'm gonna send a wave to smash your miserable little house!" As a rule, though, she is fond of humans, and enjoys festivals. She likes to drink, but can't hold her liquor. Kutara has a generally cheerful personality, but she also gets lonely easily. Her canines are blue.
