St. Saviour Cathedrals
救世主ハリストス大聖堂は赤い広場の近く、モスクワの中心部にいるモスクワ川の側に建ております。この大聖堂はロシア皇帝アレクサンドル1世の時代から、1812年ナポレオン戦争後、戦勝記念と戦没者慰霊を目的に大聖堂の建立が勅裁された。
この大聖堂は全世界にある正教会の大聖堂中、最も高い103メートルの誇りがあります。

The Cathedrals of Christ Savior is situated in the city center, nor far form Red Square, on the high bank of Moscow river. Built in commemoration of a great event in Russian history – the glorious victory over Napoleon’s Army in 1812. Tsar Alexander I signed a manifesto on 25 December 1812 declaring his intention to build a cathedral in honor of Christ the Savior "to signify Our gratitude to Divine Providence for saving Russia from the doom that overshadowed Her". With an overall height of 102 metres, it is the tallest Eastern Orthodox Church in the world.
