Artist's commentary
Although I'd always been in love with my childhood friend, she and I were always just friends. I could never find the right time to confess, and we drifted apart when I went to college. I still cherish those memories.
Now, my childhood friend is being approached every day by a guy at university, and she's forgotten all about me.
