Canonically, she likes the tactile feel of the buttons. Probably helps when she's wearing thick gloves.

Could also be a situation where they are simply easier to make. The world did go through a borderline apocalypse and world war 3 after all.

You are talking about a world where Kalina types up combat reports on a typewriter, and presents them to you as floppy disks. Technological continuity doesn't exist in the land of gun robots.

Also to this day I still carry a flip phone.
