It's one of those weird things in games like this - if healing items are food, often magic-recovering items are candy you can suck down by the truckful without the wispy mage gaining a pound.
Likewise, if the game supports affection systems with gifts, and they like frying pans, you can give them 800 frying pans, and they're just as happy about the 800th as the 1st. (What, are they burning the pans for fuel or something?! How can they store, much less USE that many?)
At least in games based upon Harvest Moon, they'll have a limit of one cake per day, but even then, it's weird that they don't want any gift, or ask about ulterior motives to you delivering exactly one piece of produce or cooking to every single villager up until they hit 10 hearts.

Wasn't it unlimited in the older ones though? Vaguely remember stuffing Mei from RF full of fish for 3 hearts in a single day.
