That's not Gao pouring himself a glass, that's Astolfo pouring him a glass. Notice the sweatdrop on Gao in the penultimate panel; he didn't ask for the drink and thus is hesitant, only resigning himself after Astolfo gives him a thumbs up.

Was talking about the gap between the liquid being poured and the liquid in the glass. Looks odd
