True, I was in upload mode and when I see a monster/boss sexualized, unless the game clearly shows they've been a woman all along, I think "genderswap."

Well, it's POSSIBLE there are other Lavos out there, and the one that appears in the game happens to be an already inseminated female.

...or maybe Lavos reproduces through some bizarre alien paradigm we can't even begin to imagine.
