While a noble goal, that would require you to be in a position to buy it after realizing nobody else was, which would basically require you to already be at Comiket without having already been stuck in some of those other lines. (Who goes without having a plan of what they want to buy already?)

I just want to make an obviously sad girl (even if it's a little her fault as well) happy again.

This is why I wouldn't ever go to a Comiket. Not only I'm not the type of person to plan ahead of what I'd buy, but also I feel really sad when one business is doing bad while having its neighbors basically selling things like hot cakes.

But for Vampire-chan, being almost half-millennia old, wouldn't be her first unsuccessful book.
